Meal Planner

💡 Below is my version of Notion's template meal planner – it includes an automatic shopping list generator (which Notion's says it does... but doesn't actually). It might actually be pretty good... (It's definitely better than their example).

update: just found another template that is essentially the same as the one below (validation, yay!) by Catherine Goddard (i think they just added it). She adds a "recipes I have the ingredients for" section that i like - so i added that stuff and she should get credit. 🙂

💡 The above links to the recipe gallery in the "information forest." Download the Notion extension and webclip recipes to the gallery! For this to then integrate with the meal planner/grocery list, you will need to fill out the ingredients used in the "ingredients" property. Then, input your meals for the week in the planner above, and a shopping list (linked in the "meal planner") of ingredients will automatically generate (though not for quantities, which I haven't figured out if I can do yet).

Food Diary (My Version)

💡 ^^ I made this when I did an elimination diet after I had had gut issues for about a year. It's suuuper detailed and I wrote a lot about emotions + behavior. Was trying to be extremely specific to determine what was making my stomach hurt all the time. Hence the detailed-ness. But it was pretty useful! Notion also has a food diary which you can find in the table above that is a bit less detailed/is simpler (but maybe better for your needs)

Notion's templates

💡 These are the templates Notion has for tracking food – i don't do this regularly so idk how they work/wouldn't use them. But I'm sure someone would – knock yourself out!

💡 If you're into food tracking and whatnot, I would suggest integrating it into your master tracker somehow (/your daily notes). Ie. having a card that connects to the automatically generated grocery list, another card that connects to meal planning for the week, etc.
